Words from William Darnell Mike, SR:
11:24 A.M.ET Mr. Joseph Biden was elected the 46th President of the United States of America. The State of Pennsylvania rendered the final 20 votes to bring about his Presidency at 273 Electoral votes; 270 needed. Congratulations Mr. President!! His election soften the blow somewhat, of the loss of our Brother Preston Edward Mike. He passed 21 Oct. 2020. His Birthday. He was named after our Grandmother Selma D. Fatheree's brother, Preston Fatheree. Uncle Preston passed as a result of a terrible car accident at an early age. His middle name was from our Grandmother Josephine "Edward" Enoch. He was the Patriarch of the Enoch-Mike families. With the passing of our Grandparents William and Josephine Enoch, and ,the passing of all THEIR Offsprings; Preston was the first born of their Grand Children. Thus, the Senior of the Families at the time of his passing. He was a building block, and very instrumental in the perpetuation of the Mike Family. His enlistment into the Marine Corps in 1956, made the Marine Corps a better Unit. Our big Brother's Passing will leave a void that will never be filled in this Family. Looking back in the History of the Mike men; he was tall, slender, and took pride in looking good, always. Especially His Hair. Although he might have appeared distant to some of us... to the contrary. He was the elder and might have considered us....... very inmature. He was our Big Brother. We understand!!! God bless him.

Dear brother I'm so grieved that you're no longer with us. You left home before I started school, but I cherish the memories I have of you. Rest in peace. I find peace in believing we will all be together again

My prayers for the entire Mike family through this difficult time. My Uncle Sonny was a kind and caring man. I remember visiting his home and touring LA with him at the helm. It was my first time seeing LA traffic and it was a sight to behold. But, Uncle Sonny hung in there ... and took us where ever our hearts desired. He was just so kind and patient. When I shut my eyes I see uncle Sonny smiling under his lemon tree.

Rest In Peace my Dear Brother until we meet again.
